For all the ladies, men and couples contemplating becoming a #SheerBeauty here’s your sign. I’m just your average Tom boy; hunting, fishing, and working on derby cars. I’m a nurse and mother of 2 little girls. Needless to say after having 2 children in under 2 years my body was pushed to many limits. In December I decided to make health changes due to my unhappiness in myself and in February I booked my shoot for June. I gave myself a weight loss goal that was incredibly reasonable; surpassed it and set 2 more goals. While the 3rd I did not reach I have no regrets.
The day of my shoot I got in my car for my hour drive (I would’ve drove much more for Jen and Brian) and thought I was making a big mistake and I wasn’t supposed to be doing something like this; this is absolutely out of my element and something I turned my nose up at years ago. I walked upstairs to be greeted by all the smiling faces. Jen asked if I was nervous and I told her about feeling like I made a mistake by doing this. Without missing a beat they assured me that I was where I was supposed to be.
As previously stated I’m not a girly girl I don’t ever do my hair and makeup so I let them doll me up and HOLY SMOKES! Even through all the hurdles they’re magicians! There was only one of my 3 outfits that I brought that I loved; they didn’t force me into them because I had brought them, they picked the other 2 for me from their lingerie closet. I had total intentions of using the sheets and not going full nude and somehow I ended up doing full nude and because of it I have some favorite pictures. Many times Jen showed me the back of the camera and I was sure that they had used a model and that it wasn’t me they were taking pictures of.
The support and encouragement they provided before, during and after the shoot you cannot describe in words. I’m thankful to have the opportunity to have met them and spent the day with such incredible people. They really are something special and I’ll definitely be back.
